Jenni Brant is a ceramic artist based in Nebraska City, NE and works as the Executive Director of the Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts also in Nebraska City. Jenni holds a Masters of Fine Arts degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (2007) and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree (2002) from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Her work has been exhibited throughout the country and is currently represented in craft galleries in Chicago (IL), Fort Bragg (CA), Charlotte (NC) and Lincoln (NE). In 2008, she was recognized as an Emerging Artist by Ceramics Monthly and received the Lincoln Mayor’s Kimmel Foundation Arts Award in 2010. Most recently, she was one of 22 finalists for the Lydon Emerging Artist Program through the Society for Contemporary Craft.
The Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts (est. 2001) that Jenni directs is an artist residency program serving visual artists, writers and composers from across the country and around the world. The program hosts about 60 artists annual. In addition, the Center features six exhibitions annually of work by local or regional artists and facilitates a variety of outreach activities throughout the year. The Center is funded by the Richard P. and Laurine Kimmel Charitable Foundation.
